We invite undergraduate, graduate, and recently graduated students to gain experience in the field through internships at Cape Fear River Watch. We can accommodate a variety of internship lengths. We custom-create working internships with local students from North Carolina, as well as international students from the Working Abroad program. We love to network with students from across the globe and here in our own back yard.
Our interns are treated as team members, contribute to and improve existing CFRW programs, and help create plans and initiate new programs. We believe that “person-power” is crucial to achieve our mission, and we cannot do what we do without the input from our amazing interns each semester and summer.
Some projects may be particularly beneficial for recent college graduates looking to add some applied experience to their resume and gain valuable contacts for both careers and graduate programs. Other projects are perfect for students still in school. We have successfully developed internships for students seeking course credit.
Interns will be screened and interviewed to assure a great fit for students and interns. All internships are unpaid and require reliable transportation. We are unable to provide a housing stipend for out-of-town interns at this time.
